Mike Ferguson DVM

Dr. Ferguson started at Rock Hill Animal Hospital with a summer kennel job in the 1980's and has never left. He has worked every position at the hospital from front to back to his current title as owner. It's the only real job he has ever had.

Dr. Ferguson grew up in Lancaster, SC and has lived in Rock Hill since 1987. Dr. Ferguson Graduated from Clemson University Magna Cum Laude in 1983. After finishing his undgrad, he attended the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1987 and has worked at Rock Hill Animal Hospital ever since.

He has 3 children, Shawn, Erin and Reid and is a member of the AVMA, SCAV and AAHA. His hobbies include coaching youth sports, running, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his children. His professional interests lie in Dentistry and Geriatrics.

Trisha Venzke DVM

Dr. Venzke is an Emergency Medicine Doctor and one of our Saturday relief veterinarians. Dr. Venzke recieved both her BS and DVM degrees from The Ohio State University. She then completed a one-year small animal rotating at Michigan Veterinary Specialist. She has been an ER doctor at Carolina Veterinary Specialist for 10 years but loves to double in general practice which is why she enjoys working her monthly Saturdays at Rock Hill Animal Hospital. Dr Venzke is an avid Buckeye fan! In her spare time, she enjoys her chickens (including Rooster Reznor), goats (Minnie and Pearl), rescue dog Tesla, attending rock concerts and her family with husband Tommy and two boys Zeplin and Nugent.

Shirin Modaresi DVM

Dr Shirin Modaresi, a native of a Rock Hill, SC, is one of our Saturday relief veterinarians.  She spent 4 years practicing small animal medicine in Georgia before taking a job in Charlotte, NC with Hill's Pet Nutrition in 2014. She received her BS in Biology from USC Honor's College, with a minor in Spanish, before getting a MS in Biology from Winthrop University. Shirin attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia. While in vet school, Shirin did parasitology research on Cytauxzoan felis and founded the Animal Welfare Club.  She also did work with shelters and rescues and has three rescue cats of her own.  When she's not working, Shirin enjoys cooking, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her two little boys (ages 4 and 6).

Rachael Bell, DVM

Dr. Bell started at RHAH in February 2017.  Her life long love of animals made her career choice obvious and easy.  She is a native of SC, growing up in Barnwell.  She then graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010.  She joins our team from an emergency hospital in Charlotte.  Her areas of special interest are in soft tissue surgery, feline medicine and emergency care.  Dr. Bell is married to Christopher Bell and they have 2 busy little boys (Alexander and William), one golden retriever (Sadie), and 3 cats (Harrison, Pepsi, and Meow).  Her hobbies include distance running, sewing and keeping up with her energetic children.

Roxie Comer- Client Service Representative

Roxie joined the RHAH team in 2005. Roxie has worked in boarding and currently as a client service representative. Pictured with Roxie is her german shepherd named Levi. Roxie took Levi in after he was brought to the hospital and the owner was never found. Levi is has taken obedience classes and is now taking nosework classes. We are working to get him certified in nosework. She is a proud mother of two children, Caitlin and Brayden. She has two dogs and 6 cats, Roxie says "With all the animals she has, working here is like being at home."

Allison Wendt- Licensed Veterinary Technician

Allison joined the RHAH team in April 2013. At that time she was in the process of finishing her externship hours for her associates degree in Veterinary Technologies. Allison graduated from Pima Medical Institute in June 2013 and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Allison and her husband Eric have two beautiful children Lucas (6 yrs old) and Laylah (3 yrs old). She also has a four legged child named Bonzi. Allison says " I am truly blessed to work in such a rewarding field with wonderful clients, patients and co-workers."

Beth Reinhardt-Licensed Veterinary Technician

Beth joined the RHAH team in 1991 and hasn't looked back! She has always had a passion for animals, so it was destiny for her to follow this career path and also is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Beth has quite the collection of animals, she has 4 birds, 2 cats and 7 dogs. She enjoys fishing, gardening and showing her dachshunds in confirmation shows. She has obtained 1 championship on a long hair mini and 3 championships on mini wire hair.

Loriel Hernandez- Veterinary Assistant

Loriel joined the RHAH team in August 2013. She is currently working as a veterinary assistant and sometimes helps take care of our boarding pets. She has worked in the veterinary field over 10 years and truly enjoys getting to work with animals on a daily basis. Loriel and her husband Rex have been married for 11 wonderful years. They have two children Delanee age 9 and Troy age 4. They also have a 9 year old black lab named Drake, and two spunky cats named Hunter and Charisma.

Amanda Minga - Veterinary Assistant

Amanda joined RHAH the beginning of 2015 after moving here from Atlanta, GA. As an Alabama native she enjoys college football (ROLLTIDE) and keeping active in the gym. She shares four furry children with her boyfriend which include a most recently adopted blind kitten Lars. Her passions in the vet field include feline medicine, nutrition and cardiac care patients.

Chelsea Albowicz - Veterinary Assistant

Chelsea started working at RHAH in the summer of 2013 as a Kennel Assistant and since then has spent her college holidays at the practice as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Science and is currently attending school at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in the class of 2018. Professionally her interests lie in mixed animal medicine with an emphasis on small animal general practice and she particularly likes surgery. Outside of school/work she enjoys spending time with her dog, Cooper, and finding new places to hike or kayak.

Sherry McKinney - Veterinary Assistant

Sherry started working at RHAH in July 2016, shortly after moving to Rock Hill from Spartanburg.  She is a 2005 graduate of Winthrop University (GO EAGLES!).  She loved the area so much that she just decided to move back after 11 years.  She currently lives with her husband Michael and 3 very spoiled dogs: Peanut, Papi, and Lil Man, all of whom are shelter mutts.  She has lived in some pretty interesting places from LA to Louisiana, and all the way to the frozen Siberia of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  When not working she loves to knit, read, and watch documentaries.  And of course cuddle her 3 spoiled pups.

Kelsey Avery - Kennel Assistant

Kelsey joined the staff in January of 2016.  She is from Myrtle Beach, SC.  She is currently a senior at Winthrop University.  She is a Biology and Chemistry major.  She has an adorable dog named Loki.  Kelsey aspires to be a veterinarian one day, so she fits right in to our staff just perfectly.

Morgan Godfrey - Kennel Assistant

Morgan joined RHAH in December of 2016.  She is currently working as a kennel assistant.  She received her certification as a veterinary assistant in December and is planning to go back to school for a degree in animal Science.  She is from Rock Hill, but was raised in Atlanta, GA for 13 years.  She's always had a love for animals, especially her childhood pet Sinclair, a toy poodle that lived to be 19 years old. She's still looking for the perfect pet, but until then she loves to dog sit for others.  When not at work, she's either spending time with her mom and younger sister, at the gym, hiking or swimming.  She also loves camping, riding jet skis, and anything else outdoors.
