Mike Ferguson, DVMDr. Ferguson started at Rock Hill Animal Hospital with a summer kennel job in the 1980's and has never left. He has worked every position at the hospital from front to back to his current title as owner. It's the only real job he has ever had. Dr. Ferguson grew up in Lancaster, SC and has lived in Rock Hill since 1987. Dr. Ferguson graduated from Clemson University Magna Cum Laude in 1983. After finishing his undergrad, he attended the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1987 and has worked at Rock Hill Animal Hospital ever since. He has 3 children, Shawn, Erin and Reid and is a member of the AVMA, SCAV and AAHA. His hobbies include coaching youth sports, running, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his children and now his first grandchild. His professional interests lie in Dentistry and Geriatrics.

Rachael Bell, DVMDr. Bell started at RHAH in February 2017. Her life long love of animals made her career choice obvious and easy. She is a native of SC, growing up in Barnwell. She then graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010. She joins our team from an emergency hospital in Charlotte. Her areas of special interest are in soft tissue surgery, feline medicine and emergency care. Dr. Bell is married to Christopher Bell and they have 2 busy little boys (Alexander and William), one golden retriever (Sadie), and 3 cats (Harrison, Pepsi, and Meow). Her hobbies include distance running, sewing and keeping up with her energetic children

Katherine Haefele, DVM
Dr. Katherine Haefele was born in Stuttgart, Germany. She was raised here in Rock Hill, SC. From a very young age, she knew that working with animals was her passion in life. Dr. Haefele completed her Bachelors of Science at Clemson University. GO TIGERS! She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. HAIL STATE! Following vet school, she did an internship with Carolina Veterinary Specialists. When Dr. Haefele has down time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and Labrador mix. You can also find her jogging, boating, snow skiing, painting or traveling! She is very excited to start a new chapter with Rock Hill Animal Hospital!!

Shannon Edwards
Veterinary Assistant/Client Services Representative Shannon joined RHAH in 1990 and worked with us until 2013; then returned in 2019. She's pictured with her pet duck, Norman, whom she acquired at the hospital in 2010 as a very young duckling. She enjoys motorcycle riding, camping and hanging out on the lake on hot summer days. |
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Allison joined the RHAH team in April 2013. At that time she was in the process of finishing her externship hours for her associates degree in Veterinary Technologies. Allison graduated from Pima Medical Institute in June 2013 and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Allison and her husband Eric have two beautiful children Lukas and Laylah. She also has 2 four legged children named Bonzi and Bauer. Allison says " I am truly blessed to work in such a rewarding field with wonderful clients, patients and co-workers."

Loriel HernandezVeterinary Assistant
Loriel joined the RHAH team in August 2013. She is currently working as a veterinary assistant and sometimes helps take care of our boarding pets. She has worked in the veterinary field over 10 years and truly enjoys getting to work with animals on a daily basis. Loriel has a wonderful husband Rex. They have two children Delanee and Troy. They also have a black lab named Drake, a pit mix named Stanley, and two spunky cats named Hunter and Charisma.

Kelsey Avery - Veterinary Assistant
Kelsey joined the staff in January of 2016. She is from Myrtle Beach, SC. She has an adorable dog named Loki. Kelsey aspires to be a veterinarian one day, so she fits right in to our staff just perfectly.
